Blackheads are caused by a sebum build up on the skin which blocks the pores. The lay term is pilosebaceous unit. The best way to get rid of them is to get a prescription for a retinoid cream to cut down on the plugging of the hair follicles. You could also just have them extract the blackhead. There is a special tool that we can use extract it.
