It is hard to answer because there are so many different varieties. The weight of them depends on how many features they have. Some of them do have speakers and some of them do not have speakers.
Q: Can you give me some examples?
Generally, it is going to be under 100 pounds. I mean, I think that is pretty basic, but they are pretty much under 100 pounds just like plasmas until you get into the 50 and 61-inch sizes. That is the only time that they are going to reach over 100 pounds. Your tube TV's are your heaviest televisions right now. If they are bigger than 34-inches, then they weigh around 240 pounds. The LCD rear projections and DLP rear projections are relatively light at 60 to 100 pounds.
If they are looking at LCDs or plasmas, generally they are looking to hang it on the wall. Weight does not really come in to play because they will hang off of any building structures as long as you hit the right amount of studs.
We recommend it with set-up and everything else, that you have it installed.
