How are Whirlpool washers made?

Whirlpool washers are made to fit the consumer's needs.

Whirlpool washers are first and foremost driven by consumer insight. So there is not a lot of research; I mean when it comes down to it, a lot of washers start with the same basic principles. What we do here at Whirlpool, we talk to consumers a lot about the habits and practices in the laundry room. If we see, for example, that the consumers who are using some of our products are bending down an awful lot, that is kind of a disaster. Then, Whirlpool will end up developing a product like a pedestal, which fits underneath and serves two purposes: storage and ergonomics. So products are first driven by consumer insight, and then they are worked through our system.

Does the same hold true for Whirlpool dryers? Yes.
