Planning a baby shower and looking for some fun game ideas? Look here!
A baby shower just isn't complete with a few fun and/or goofy games to get the gang involved with. Here are a few tried-and-true ones that are easy to prepare for, and will keep people entertained!
* Picture Match Game
When sending out the invitations, ask each guest to bring a baby picture. Assemble the pictures onto a bulletin board or posterboard and attach an number to each photo. If there are 20 photos, give each guest a sheet of paper numbered 1-20 and ask them to guess who's who on the board. If not all the guests know each other, it's helpful if people wear name tags. The guest with the most correct answers, wins.
* Baby Food Taste Test
Purchase 6 different kinds of baby food. On a large paper plate for each guest, draw six circles (a little bigger than a quarter) and under each, label them 1-6. Then, put a dollop of each different kind of baby food in a circle (in the same order for everyone.) Ask guests to taste the baby food and then write down what each kind of baby food is. The person with the most correct answers is the winner. This is a great game for laughs!
* Memory Game
Purchase 15 or 20 small baby items such as socks, a small stuffed animal, tweezers, can of food, bottle, pacifier, rattle, and shampoo. Arrange the items on a large tray. Allow the guests to look at the tray for 15-20 seconds. Take the tray away and then ask them to write down as many items as they can remember. The guest with the most items remembered is the winner. Give the baby items to the mother-to-be and award the winner with a different prize.
* The Price is Right!
This game can be used in conjunction with the Memory Game. Once you buy the baby items, save the receipts and write down the corresponding costs for each. Go through the tray and ask guests to guess the price paid for each baby item. Reveal the prices at the end. The guest with the most guesses closest to the original prices, wins.
