Some of the classes that are going to be much more aerobic depending on what you are doing, some with lot of stretching, but it's good physically because you are using all your muscles. What belly dancing does is tones the muscles. You are not necessarily going to get fit there. It's going to tone your muscles and exercises. So it's not going to hurt.


I think a lot of people are who are doing it as exercise are tired of the gym. They want to dance and they want movement. A lot of them do it as a social thing as a group of women. A lot of them do it because they want to perform. We have a variety of reasons that people go to belly dancing. It has become more accepted in the last few years. It's not quite the mystic that it used to be. It's really good for woman and self-esteem. The thing with belly dancing is that you don't have to be size two to perform. You can be a woman. You can have curves and you can still feel great doing that. That's not going to be bad if you are not a size two.
