Yes, Birmingham Zoo. It has a special zoo just for children connected to the main zoo. They have recently gone in and reorganized it from your typical zoo of just animal in cages. They have the African safari area, a huge open area, where the animals are and you can come in and observe. It has some native trees and the plants, too. They also have what they call an alligator swamp area. Also, the good thing about Birmingham having a temperate climate is, especially for animals, you can have the animals outside most of the year and, like I said with the African exhibit, you can actually have native trees and vegetation to complete the experience.
