The reason hypnosis works is that once it has the picture, sounds, and experiences of what you want, the unseen force of the mind goes about proving you right. It has to do with what's called surface tension. You have an image in your mind of what you want to be, and then if you are displaying a behavior that's not consistent with that, it's going to give you some kind of unhappy feeling about it. If you are doing what you think it's going to take to bring you success you are going to feel good. Hypnosis gives you a sense of hope. You get what you rehearse in life rather what you intend. You can rehearse behaviors such as leaving food on your plate or choosing healthier foods over sugary or fatty foods, or you could build that habit of exercise quickly by imagining that you have already done it for 21 days. When you wake up from hypnosis you feel like it's already a part of your day to day routine. I tend to believe that there are truly no limitations. I like to explain that there are only an infinite number of possibilities from any one moment of time.
