Our breast augmentation is the most requested procedure. With breast augmentation, we use mostly saline implants, we do use silicon implants as well, under certain conditions. The incision is made under the breast, just above what's called the inframammary fold (where your breast folds over on your chest wall). The incision is just slightly above that so that incision doesn't get irritated by the breast folding over on it. We insert the saline implant and then inflate it. We do not encourage large breasts. Our doctors typically will not do bigger than an E cup bra size for instance because there are risks and complications. The implants can become irritated because the breast tissue around it becomes irritated and then encapsulates or makes a scar. That in time becomes very hard and very uncomfortable. So normally everyday breast sizes you know B, C even a D cup is fine for most women. If you start dealing with an E cup and bigger breasts, they're just too heavy for most women's breasts. Very rarely do I get calls from people who want even bigger than that. They want F size or even bigger and I tell them we do not do that and I don't know who does it. I am sure they can find someone to do it, but a lot of them have to go to Mexico and that's where you get into a lot of trouble. There are women with huge breasts, but a lot of these women are overweight to begin with. Now the people that call us are normal sized individuals that just want huge breasts. Maybe they are dancers or their boyfriend or husband likes big breasts or something. We won't do that. We think that indicates some emotional instability, so we try to avoid that.
