Buffalo is probably most famous for their chicken wings. Chicken wings were invented here in 1964 at the Anchor Bar. They started out as something whipped up in the kitchen after hours and quickly spread in popularity around the city and then to larger regions and now to the entire world. Whenever I travel I find chicken wings or buffalo wings on the menus of all kinds of restaurants all over the world. It's really become something of a culinary phenomenon. The original restaurant where they were concocted is still here on Main Street in Buffalo.
