Step 1
The first step in building your affiliate Website is choosing a niche. Select an area that interests you such as gardening, dog training or children's birthday parties. Brainstorm a list of ideas and narrow it down to your favorite.
-
Step 2
Find a Web hosting company to support your affiliate Website. If you haven't built a Website before, you may want to choose a company that provides templates such as Yahoo Web Hosting or Site Build It. You can upload content and pictures without knowing any html or technical Web design skills. And if you have experience in Web design, you can upload your own pages as well. Yahoo Web Hosting will cost you about $10-$15 a month and Site Build It costs about $300 for a year membership including your domain name.
-
Step 3
Develop content related to your niche. Brainstorm a list of keywords your potential visitors may be searching. You can then input the words into the Google Adwords' tool to determine how many searches the keyword gets a month, and if there is advertising competition for those words.
-
Step 4
Become an affiliate with sites like Commission Junction and Click Bank to promote products and services. Each time a visitor purchases a product, you make a percentage of the sale.
-
Step 5
Consider signing up for an AdSense account. This will allow Google to place ads on your Website relevant to your niche. Each time the visitor clicks on an ad, you earn income.
