Step 1
Open Microsoft FrontPage. FrontPage is available with the Microsoft Office 2007 package. FrontPage is automatically installed and easy for users to open, load and enjoy. Templates for Microsoft FrontPage are available at the Microsoft website for download (see Resources).
-
Step 2
Choose the File menu and click "New." Under the new window that opens, choose which type of website you wish to create. Various web templates are available on FrontPage.
-
Step 3
Choose the location to publish your website to. Select Open Notes. Choose to save the website to the local director (create a new folder so that all website pieces are together) or to the Internet server where you have an account. You may use Microsoft SharePoint if you have Microsoft SharePoint Services.
-
Step 4
Build your website by clicking on the template spaces and substituting your information for the information provided. Add photographs in key places to accent information. FrontPage has many tools, like allowing links to be embedded, so take advantage of these tools. Be aware that if you prefer to edit in raw HTML, FrontPage will add a lot of seemingly meaningless information in Microsoft code to the raw HTML view. This information makes editing in raw HTML difficult because the code is specific to FrontPage.

Step 5
Review the created website. Verify that all links point to working websites. Check that no data from the template is still showing. If you elect to not replace template data with your own data, erase those areas. Load up to your Internet server and check functionality via your web browser.
