Step 1
Go through the manufacturer. For any driver or device files, the manufacturer's site is the most reliable resource, and should have the most recent software versions. For all Dell products, follow the link in Resources and click on the "Drivers & Downloads" link. From there, you can select your product and find the appropriate driver.

Step 2
If you would prefer a factory CD, call Dell Customer Service at (800) 624-9897 and request a factory CD. Make sure you are near your printer, because you will be asked for asset-tag or serial-number information. If you don't have the asset tag or serial number for your Dell 720 Printer, you may need to download the driver from another resource.
-
Step 3
If you don't want to go through Dell, you can find drivers at sites like Softpedia and DriverFix. (Follow the links in Resources.) Keep in mind that most of these resources will be download-only, so if you really need a CD, the manufacturer is your best bet.

Step 4
Keep in mind that it may be time for a new printer. While getting rid of a perfectly good printer seems crazy, if the printer has been discontinued, it will be progressively harder to find supplies and support. And if you upgrade your computer's operating system, you may not be able to get a compatible driver at all. Also, there have been numerous advances in printer and ink technology; printers are getting cheaper; inks and pigments are brighter; and the cost of ownership is going down. So even if the printer is in perfectly good condition, it may be time to upgrade to a newer model.
