Many people see California as one of the United States' most visited state due to all the vacation spots it holds. Some of the more famous spots that many visitors go to are Disney Land, San Francisco, Hollywood, Legoland, and Hearst Castle. These are the most fun and most entertaining places to see.
Disney Land, of course is one of children's most favorite places to visit. You can only guess why. Mickey and Minnie Mouse, along with all the other Disney characters, delight and entertain children for hours and hours at this amusement park. Not to mention all the rides and stores to visit along the way as you walk down the sidewalks in this child's land. There are also adult rides there, too, that many people find thrilling. So this delightful land is not only for children, but for all sorts of people from small to big!
San Francisco, on the other hand is a big city and has many sites to see. You can visit Alcatraz, the old deserted jail, or go to see Fisherman's Harbor. Of course, in between these two favorite spots you can see other things such as the Golden Gate Bridge and San Francisco Bay. All of this is exciting and an eye full for all sorts of visitors.
After San Francisco you can head on over to Hollywood and see all the action. There you can hang out on Rodeo Drive and maybe even scope out some actors or actresses. While you're there you can even go and see if there are any movie grand openings and see what favorite actors of yours are there to preview the flick. Hollywood offers a variety of sights to see and it also offers you the chance to see how movies are really made. This might be one of the biggest cities you will ever want to see.
Now, for those of you with younger kids I would suggest taking a hop down to Lego Land! This is a great attraction for younger kids. Everything here is built out of legos and is built in amazement! There are also rides, attractions, shows, and shopping available.
The last stop you will want to make in California is Hearst Castle. This was once the residence of a newspaper publisher named William Randolph Hearst. This castle is filled with old art that is wonderful to look at. It is a huge place and a great tourist attraction. If you are into old castles and a little bit of history, you definetly need to check this out!
One last thing you might want to remember when you visit California or anywhere is to take spending money. Enough to get souvenirs and so forth. Also don't forget the essentials that you travel with, such as snacks, clothes, stuff to entertain kids and anything else you can think of. Come prepared!
