One of the best campgrounds we have in our area is the Dolphin Island campground and they have already reopened after Hurricane Katrina. It is a beautiful place to go and you are right there on Dolphin Island. They have some beautiful beaches and there's also a lot of history there. They have an estuarium, which is an educational type of aquarium that teaches you about the estuaries located in our area.
We also have some great biking trails. The ones near the University of South Alabama are supposed to be just incredible. Dolphin Island has biking trails as well. Our Bird Sanctuary has miles of hiking trails. We also have tour guides that will take you through our Delta area to do some hiking and explore some of the different islands.
