Can Hypnosis Help Me To Be A Better Person?

Can hypnosis help me to be a better person? Well, now we are talking philosophy, so it depends on how you define a better person. Hypnosis is wonderful for helping resolve conflicts. For hundreds, maybe...

For hundreds, maybe even thousands of years, hypnosis has been a method of helping and treating certain different human problems and ailments. A way of treating illnesses by using the subconscious part of the mind to tap into the problem, hypnosis has long been considered an ideal way to treat problems based on the few problems that are encountered.

One of the main problems that hypnosis patients don't have to deal with is the side effects of using medical drugs. Many patients that are up in age would much rather deal with their health issues without the constant popping of pills. But as someone who doesn't suffer from any medical problems, hypnosis is great for changing a person's approach on life.

Being a treatment that deals directly with the mind, most hypnotist believe that hypnosis can help any problem that can be cured by patching into a person's mental block. Believe it or not, hypnosis has been known to even help certain people to become better and well rounded citizens.

Larry Volz is a former magician who took up hypnosis 15 years ago. He is the executive director for the American Hypnosis Clinic and has held this position for almost four years now. Volz said that helping someone to become a well rounded person first begins with the problems that the client is hoping to help fix.

"Well, now we are talking philosophy, so it depends on how you define a better person," Volz said. "Hypnosis is wonderful for helping resolve conflicts. Take, for example, someone with a crack cocaine habit. We have had a tremendous success rate with addicts and most of our clients are referred by word of mouth - their friends tell them what a difference it has made in their lives."

"Someone who has a crack cocaine addiction has got a horrible conflict going on in their mind," he added. "They may have a family that they love and they are drawn to this drug which results in them not taking care of their families properly. From the addict's perspective, they feel like they are not a good person because of this. So if you can help them get rid of the habit and give them other things to do that provide what they need out of life then they are able to return to their families and resolve that conflict within themselves. So, certainly, the individuals who overcome such things feel that it helps them become a better person."

In addition to helping someone who is abusing a chemical substance feel better, hypnosis has shown to be able to help certain people in other areas as well. Some people feel that there are certain inhibitions they have that keep them from being a well rounded person. Inhibitions such as: fear of talking in public, communicating with higher ups or even class participation. Hypnosis allows these individuals to remove those mental building blocks hopefully igniting a new path to success. Hypnosis has also been proven to help in areas such as memory and organization that ultimately could provide instant success in a career.
