I have done it twice and after the second time, I have decided it was worth paying someone to do it for me. It's not a difficult job but of the flooring type that you can install, it is probably the most difficult. It requires wet saws to get around corners and floor edges. It is a very labor-intensive job. Usually when you install in the inset application, you would put some kind of cement board down on top of the wood subfloor and you screw it at every six inches in all directions, that's the very labor-intensive part. You are on your knees on the ground and the surface is fairly heavy to move around if you have a limited amount at a time it's a lot of work. It can be done by a consumer or do-it-yourselfer, but take my advice and have somebody to do it for you; it will be well worth it.
