Yes, definitely. We don't do that. I am not as familiar with some of the techniques, but it's becoming more and more popular. A lot of people will flyfish off of fishing yachts or boats. Sometimes people will flyfish off a sandy beach. They use somewhat different equipment for salt water flyfishing. The rods, reels, and lines are all heavier weight than what we use. That is one of the distinguishing aspects about flyfishing. You can go from what they call a one-way-rod and line, which is very lightweight, and used in smaller water, all the way to the biggest a six weight. When you are in much bigger water like salt water, I am not sure how high the weights go, but they are using big weights. They use much heavier equipment, because the fish are bigger, and the water is bigger as well.

I've never done any saltwater flyfishing. I am sure some of the techniques are different. I've heard some of my guides who have done that who say it's a whole different thing. In saltwater, flyfisherman will use a whole different bunch of flie and a lot of different equipment.
