It depends on the program, depends on the style of study. You know health issues are one concern when you choose a course. If you have brittle bone disease, I wouldn't do a joint locking style or a style where you get thrown or there is contact. I think certain styles like tai chi should be practiced all the way up as far as you can train. I think the martial arts that focus on the martial combative side; you probably wouldn't want to do if you haven't been to us your whole life. So try to stay clear of those in your later years, but I think that some of the arts like tai chi are very, very good. Chi cung is a breathing art form that teaches you about energy and cleansing the system. It's like taking the breathing exercises from yoga and focusing on those. I think chi cung is wonderful for elderly people.

And tai chi is wonderful for maintaining flexibility and suppleness, working the range of motion through your body, matching your mind and your intent with the motion of your body, with your breath. Tai chi is wonderful.
