For laminates its just dry mopping, or a damp mop if you have a spill or something that might stain like a juice drink or something that might require a damp cloth. Cleaning up markers or things that have marred the surface, you can use nail polish remover or any kind of acetone type cleaner. Other than that its really just doing things around the way your house is setup to keep it looking good. Things like putting felt pads on your furniture; if you've got any kind of roller-casters you should replace the plastic ones with rubber casters. If you've got pets in the house, making sure their nails are trimmed and just common knowledge like not to drag heavy things across it or drop something heavy on it, which is pretty typical for all hard surface product.
