There are several things children can do here and that goes for the whole family. They can do a bunch of different things. One thing that we have that is just really neat for kids is a place called the Playground of Dreams. This is a community built playground that has about 20 fun slides and it is made out of wood. We have a huge area for children at Creek Town Park. Old Creek Town Park is a city maintained park. It's got the playground, and it just went under a $17,000 renovation. In addition it has areas that are suitable for toddlers as young as two. It's got areas that children of 10 or 12 are going to want to play on and a nice safe environment. The Old Creek Town Creek Park is on the water, so that's really neat. We have great ball park facility for softball or baseball. We have hosted the World Series several times of softball and we also have several times hosted the state of Alabama, swimming championships. We have an incredible facility that houses one big swimming area for competitions and things like that. That's housed in our community center and the community center is opened to residents and visitors. They can go in and play basketball or swim, use the gym facilities, take aerobics classes, or walk tracks. For kids that like to do indoor kinds of things there is a bowling alley and of course a skating rink that really caters to the children. Most people that come in with their kids, like to do the outdoor activities and take advantage of the Playground of Dreams. So that really is an area where you can go out and get away and the parents can have their picnic and can look at the water and send the kids into the huge playground facility. There is a fee that get into Creek Town Park during softball tournaments it is two bucks for cars or something like that.
