I think we have some neat places to take kids both recreationally and from an attraction perspective. Rochester has amazing number of parks throughout town. I really enjoy the Silver Lake Park, which is adjacent to downtown. They have numerous playgrounds, skateboarding parks, and walking trails. I would also highly recommend the Olmsted County Historical Society's Historical Complex. They have several gardens and museums as well as an old school house. They do a very good job of depicting the early part of the century here in Rochester. We have a place called the Perry Wallace Climbing Gym that's a neat place to take kids. They have 10,000 square feet of climbing walls ranging from the beginner level to the advanced. It's a good place to burn energy and to learn how to do wall climbing. Aside from that we have a nice mall for them to "hangout" in as well.
