Children's Attractions In Huntington Beach, CA

Children's Attractions in Huntington Beach, CA. Children's Attractions in and around Huntington Beach, CA include Disneyland, the Queen Mary, the Aquarium of the Pacific, the San Diego Zoo, and Sea World San Diego.

Not only does Huntington Beach have the ultimate surf city USA type of beach experience, but we are only 16 miles from Disneyland. You can actually see their fireworks from here at every night at 9:30. If you go early in the morning, it's only about a 30 minute drive, but if you leave during rush hour, it may take you an hour and a half to get there. It's also a very easy 60 miles from here to the Queen Mary, the Aquarium of the Pacific, and Long Beach. We right in the heart of all, so it's great for a family vacation. You can be at the San Diego Zoo or Sea World in an hour and half.

Close by there are some things specifically oriented to kids as well. We have a Discovery Science Center located in Santa Ana about 80 miles from here that's dedicated to educating children in science, math, and technology with over 100 hands-on exhibits and a 3D laser show. You can rent bicycles or little three wheel scooters. You can go surfing, sand castle building, or do other typical beach activities. We also have two skateboard parks here that I think kids would enjoy. Central Park has horseback riding guided tours for up to five people. The park is right across the street from the library.

Our website lists several kid events from KinderFest to OktoberFest. There are bands, folk dances, pony rides, and petting zoo. We actually have a surfing school that's just for girls. We have a Halloween celebration downtown, the Huntington Beach Play Makers Theater that will occasionally feature children's plays, an Easter Egg Hunt, an annual Kite festival, and of course the 4th of July Parade, which is considered the largest 4th of July Parade west of Mississippi river. Spectacular fireworks typically follow in the evening.
