Other towns in our area would be Preston to our west. In either direction there would be other small towns of Whalan, Peterson, and Rushford. The first one I mentioned, Preston, is the largest in the county and it is our county seat.
We are two and a half hours south east of the Minneapolis/St. Paul area. We are 45 minutes from Rochester, Minnesota which is home of the Mayo Clinic. People all over the country and the world come to Mayo for health care. We are also an hour from La Crosse, Wisconsin or Winona, Minnesota.
The nearest airport is the Minneapolis International Airport and there's an Amtrak station in Winona, Minnesota.
