Step 1
Vacuum the wooden blinds. Use the extension to the vacuum and attach the small round brush to the end. Close the blinds and vacuum one side of the slats. Then switch the slats to the opposite direction and vacuum again.
-
Step 2
Dust the slats. You can use a feather duster or small wipes, like those made by Swiffer.
-
Step 3
Wipe the slats with a soft, dry cloth. (It should not be wet, as this could harm the wood.) The cloth will enable you to wipe off the dust. Rub it on any spots you may find on the blinds.
-
Step 4
Apply a wood-cleaning product to the slats. Use a rag to wipe the polish onto each slat. The polish will remove dust particles and stains and make the blinds look shiny at the same time. Method Wood Polish is one such product; it also comes in a spray version you can spray on the wooden slats and then wipe down with a dry rag to rub the polish into the wood.

Step 5
Use Murphy Oil Soap to clean the blinds. This is another product that can be wiped onto each slat with a rag to keep the blinds looking clean.
