It is a great place to go. It's also part of the Como Park campus. It has a conservatory and Como Town Amusement Park. The zoo is free and admission to the amusement park is free, you just need to pay for rides. It's the fun interactive rides like a rock climbing wall and things like that. It's more than just the typical roller coaster. There is a Minnesota Landscape Arboretum and that is the giant botanical type garden and arboretum operated by the University of Minnesota. It's about a half-hour outside of downtown St. Paul. For the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum, the website is www.arboretum.umn.edu. It is a beautiful place. There is another zoo in the metro area called the Minnesota Zoo and their website address is www.mnzoo.org. The Science Museum is the beautiful state of the art facility located right on the banks of the Mississippi River. In addition to National Traveling Exhibits that come to St. Paul, it also has a Natural History Museum, Mississippi River Gallery and Omni Theater with one of the only convertible domed screens in the country. It's very reasonably priced. An all-access museum pass is about $11; a great place for kids. Another great place for children is the Minnesota Children's Museum, which is located right here in downtown St. Paul. It has a variety of different hands-on exhibits for kids and a number of traveling exhibits as well. Even the little infants and toddlers have a place to go there.
