Overview
Watching television on the computer is becoming popular, especially with capturing programs that can allow for easier viewing later. Here is a guide to preparing your computer for TV viewing.

Step 1
Install you TV tuner. If you don't already have one, you can buy one from an electronics store. Simply follow the instructions included with the tuner. -
Step 2
Connect your Direct TV receiver to your TV tuner. An A/V cable will be necessary for this, or a coaxial cable. -
Step 3
Open your media player. You can use the program that came with the TV tuner, or use a media player of your choice. Either way, your computer is set up for TV viewing.
