Step 1
Go to the business' website, cookiesbydesign.com. The corporate site has a lot of information about the company and the products it creates and sells. On the home page, look for a banner near the top of the page and click on the "Locations." That will open a drop-down menu from which you can select your state or input a ZIP code to find a shop. A list will come up showing a few nearby stores, with their address and phone number.

If you don't have access to a computer, you can call information assistance. For a local store, call your local information source at 411 (there will be a charge for this call). If there isn't a Cookies by Design in your city, call the toll-free information directory at 1-800-555-1212 and request a number. It will most likely be the corporate store, which can give you the address of the location closest to you.

Look in your phone books. In the white pages, you can search by name. In the yellow pages, look under bakeries and cookies. Today, every community has several phone books, so a local Cookies by Design store may not be listed in all directories.

Step 4
Your cell phone and/or your GPS system may also be able to locate a nearby Cookies by Design. Each device type will have a slightly different way to query the information. You may have to search by business type, such as bakery, instead of the company name.

Ask your friends, neighbors and co-workers for the information as well.
