Cutlery sets are kitchen knife sets that come in sets of 2 pieces to 32 pieces. A good, basic set has 10 to 18 pieces including the pieces that you would normally use to prepare meals plus table knives (or what many people call steak knives). Steak knives often come with the bigger block sets, even in the lower-end sets. A complete 32 piece set comes with all kitchen knives plus 12 steak knives. If you are a gourmet chef, like to watch the food channel on TV, or have a big family, you are going to want that solid foundation of cutlery in your kitchen. It really just depends upon who you are, what you like to cook, and who you are cooking for. Somebody living alone is definitely not going to need a 32 piece set. We do have 2 and 3 piece sets that come in a box, as well as 4, 5, and 6 piece sets that come in a block or trays.
