If someone is tanning properly in any situation, whether or not they are wearing SPF lotion, there are going to be arguments for either one. I personally, I stay away from the sun, because I get over exposed when I am outside. That might be because I am not wearing the proper SPF; I don't want it sit outside all day and sweat in the sun though.

So, I don't choose to do that. It doesn't mean that I don't tan outdoors, but when I do that, I do it wisely and I don't tan too long. I make sure I always put on my lotion when I am tanning, and then I also make sure I take care of my skin. Moisturize properly and cleanse with a PH balance shower gel. I can't really tell what are the pros and cons between each one. Obviously, over exposing is the one thing that you want to try to stay away from in either situation.
