How to Design a Silicon Bracelet

By Dawn R. Levesque

  • Overview

Express yourself! Design a personalized silicone bracelet and let people know what you are all about. Show your team spirit. Support your favorite charity. Celebrate a holiday. Be inspirational and display your favorite saying or quote.
    • Step 1

Consider a theme for your silicone bracelet, much like a charm bracelet. First arrange your design of choice on a piece of solid paper. Choose shapes and colors that you like. Leave at least 1/2 inch between objects so that the bracelet will still be flexible.
    • Step 2

Wrap your silicone bracelet around the water bottle or can. This allows you to work around the surface easily when designing and later on when drying.

    • Step 3

Attach the objects one by one onto the bracelet by gluing. Apply a thin coat and press. Start in the middle and work around the back.
    • Step 4

Place desired stencils flat onto the silicone bracelet and slowly fill in the stencil with markers. Be careful not to smudge ink until dry.
    • Step 5

Dress up your silicone bracelet by adding charms. Using a craft needle, poke a hole through the bracelet. Use a split ring, which can be found in craft stores, and attach dangles to symbolize your favorite things.
    • Step 6

Allow your bracelet to dry overnight if working with glue. When dry, wear your new bracelet with pride!
    • Skill: Easy

    • Crystal flat-back gems
    • Paint pens or permanent markers
    • 20 oz. water bottle or 15 oz. can
