A trip to Zurich will be filled with amazing scenery, great food and culture. You will be inspired by the great Alps and fascinated by the art and architecture.

Zurich, Switzerland is an idyllic spot to plan a vacation to. With the snow covered Alps and the River Limmat running alongside the town, you will feel as if you've been transplanted into a painting. This 13th century Gothic cathedral is very well known for its outstanding stained glass.

A trip to Zurich just wouldn't be complete without a stroll through the streets of Bahnofstrasse. This famous street offers some of the best in shopping, dining and people watching. So, if you're looking for a true Zurich experience, don't miss this street.

The historic section of Zurich contains the zoological garden or if you're being technical, the zoologischer garten. Here you will find cobblestone streets, a variety of small stores and tantalizing restaurants. It also has a great historic walking area, so don't forget the camera.

When walking through the hills of Zurich, locals ask that you resist the temptation to spin and sing "The Hills are Alive with the Sound of Music," they've seen it one too many times before. You may find it hard to resist though, because you've never seen scenery like this. Pictures just don't do it justice.

The night life in Zurich is filled with excitement and music. Live music is popular, so check out a local bar or club to experience something very different than what you're used to.

Don't forget that you can ride bikes, ski and hike your way through those awe-inspiring Alps for an even more authentic and breathtaking experience. You definitely should plan to see all the tourist parts of Zurich and then set out on your own to soak in some of that lush and brilliant landscape.
