Los Angeles, Denver, and New York are their largest locations. They also have larger offices in Boise, Idaho, Tulsa, Oklahoma, Huntsville, Alabama, and Missoula, Montana. Los Angeles hires more employees than any other location because it's the main headquarters for Direct TV. Denver is the second largest because the city houses the company's customer service and technical departments.

    Direct TV offers a number of different career paths within their company. They use installers across the country to install the packages ordered by customers. They also use sales representatives in different cities to find new customers and ensure that current customers are happy with their service. Customer service representatives handle questions from callers, while technical savvy people are needed for their service line. The company also needs managers and support staff inside their many offices to handle the daily operations of the business.

    Those individuals working for Direct TV have the advantage of a base salary plus commissions. The company looks at other jobs in the area and bases their salary on that. They then reward their top-performing workers with bonuses throughout the year. Sales representatives and other types of salesmen receive commissions on the packages and programs they sell. The company also offers smaller bonuses to their workers at the end of the year and rewards for successes.

    Direct TV believes in producing the best employees and keeping them prepared for the future. To do this, they train all employees, beginning the day their employment starts. They also utilize a system of cross-training so workers can move to different areas without any problems. Those employees that do their best are rewarded by getting invited into the management training program. The company often promotes their own employees into higher positions rather than hiring outside workers.
