Many people have cars in their driveways, garage, behind a shed, or out in the middle of a field. These cars are of no use to the owners, but yet they age even more with time. Some of them are in good condition, some are not working. Thankfully, there is an easy way to donate your car, no matter what shape it is in. This can be done without any hassle on your part and you can even receive a tax deduction for your year end taxes. Car Angels is a non profit organization that raises money for various charities, including one to your specification if you desire.

How to Donate a Car to Angel Cars

Step 1

Choose a cause. Car Angels uses the proceeds of your car donation for many different charities. Charities include, but are not limited to: outreach homes for trouble youths, prison literacy programs and funding for schools in some of the poorest countries in the world.
Step 2

Call Car Angels. Call (800) 227-2643 and arrange for pick up of your vehicle. Provide your address and contact information as well as the make, year, condition and VIN number of your car.

Step 3

Fill out the online form. If you decide not to call the toll free number, locate the online form on the left side of the Car Angel's homepage. (See Resources for link.) Simply fill it out and the charity will reply to you in a timely manner. Just like calling, you will need to provide them with your address, contact information, and the make, year, condition, and VIN number of your car.
Step 4

Take it easy. Car Angels will handle title information, tax receipts, and the towing of the vehicle.
