Give your car to Kars 4 Kids. Kars 4 Kids works with a non-profit organization known as J.O.Y. For Our Youth. This is an organization that provides food, clothes, shelter, tutoring, after-school programs and other services to children who come from low income families and "at-risk" children. Step 2
Contact the American Red Cross. The Red Cross uses proceeds from car donations to aid families throughout New York state who are victims of both emergencies and natural disasters. Those who live in New York, Pennsylvania, Maryland and New Jersey can donate their car by filling out an online form or by calling (877) 332-7677. You can also contact your local Red Cross chapter. Not all chapters will accept car donations.

Step 3
Reach out to your local Habitat for Humanity chapter. Habitat for Humanity accepts car, trucks and RV donations. Your donation will go to help Habitat for Humanity build homes for families who lost their home for one reason or another. Step 4
Donate your car to the American Lung Association in New York. The ALA of New York works to educate individuals of all ages on the importance of healthy lungs and things they can do to keep their lungs healthy. The ALA of New York also funds research on lung disease as well as flu clinics throughout New York state.
