Check for a blocked Exhaust Duct. Excess lint, debris, birds or insects can all clog the exhaust duct. Flexible duct is more likely to clog due to sagging or kinking. Use only 4-inch rigid or flexible metal duct with your dryer to prevent blocking resulting from these causes. The exhaust duct should be cleaned periodically depending on use, but should be cleaned at least every two years. When cleaning the duct, be sure to check elbows and turns for collected lint. Also check the exhaust hood at the end of the outside duct to make sure it is lint free.
