The whole world has changed. The best analogy I can use, for every 10 people who are in the antique business there are probably 90 others who are dreamers and want to be in it. Now, virtually anybody can do it, because all they have to do is log on to e-bay, go to the garage sale, find something, and sell it.
Q: What is your opinion of selling antiques on e-bay or online?
I think it has its place. What they found is that for the most part large items do not sell well; small items sell well. People are not going to pay $1000 or $1500 for shipping on furniture. It just doesn't make sense.
