East Meets West Astrology: Gemini In Relation To The Chinese Zodiac

Read here to see how a Gemini is influenced by the year he was born with the Chinese zodiac. Information on two different astrological signs.

GEMINI THE TWINS (May 22 to June 21): The Gemini, born under the sign of the Twins, has a dual nature. Because of this, his behavior may seem erratic. One day he may be friendly and warm, the next cold and aloof. He is spiritual, yet practical. He is imaginative, yet down to Earth. He is ambivalent- he has a hard time making decisions, and a hard time sticking to them. He is very good at juggling a number of responsibilities at once. He expresses himself very well. He can be fairly critical of others, and tends to complain a lot.

TWINS/RATS: Born in 1912, 1924, 1936, 1948, 1960, 1972, 1984, 1996. Born in the year of the Rat, the Twins will be a multitasker extra ordinaire. He will have a knack for dividing his attention effectively over many different responsibilities. He does well in fast paced, demanding jobs and manages to get everything done effectively, as long as he doesn't have to make too many decisions or judgement calls. He prefers to be a worker bee rather than a leader- give him his job, and he will do it. He tends to juggle relationships just as well, and will often have more than one romantic interest at a time. He likes to keep his options open.

TWINS/OX: Born in 1913, 1925, 1937, 1949, 1961, 1973, 1985, 1997. The Twins/Ox is an effective communicator in general. Though he isn't very talkative, he is an eloquent speaker when he does speak. He can seem pretty moody, and his mood swings make him difficult to get along with and live with. He does have a good work ethic and usually succeeds in whatever he does. He is always second guessing himself, and can beat himself up mentally when he feels he has made the wrong choice. He does not forgive mistakes easily, be they his own or others'.

TWINS/TIGER: Born in 1914, 1926, 1938, 1950, 1962, 1974, 1986, 1998. The Tiger's influence on the Twins causes him to be extremely creative and inventive. He will always have an innovative idea, always attempt to express himself, particularly through writing. He is likely to have a notebook full of his poetry and a pen stashed under his pillow, and will gladly share it with those who he feels close to. His memory is short term, and he tends to forget things easily and need reminding. He is philosophical in nature and loves to ponder big questions, such as why he might be here on this planet or the nature of a higher power.

TWINS/HARE: Born in 1915, 1927, 1939, 1951, 1963, 1975, 1987, 1999. Another beautiful speaker, the Twins/Hare can appear indifferent to people because he doesn't like to rush into making decisions- in fact, he will avoid committing himself one way or the other for as long as he can. He is moody, quiet, and a very relaxed person who doesn't get easily excited. He doesn't like to feel rushed, and if you try to rush him he'll remind you that there is time. He can be infuriating to people who are always in a hurry or hate to be late, and should avoid matching up with a life partner who is not comfortable taking life slow.

TWINS/DRAGON: Born in 1916, 1928, 1940, 1952, 1964, 1976, 1988, 2000. The Dragon's influence on the Twins makes for a person who enjoys indulging in fantasy. He lets his imagination run away from him whenever he can. He doesn't think much of reality, which has the potential to be harsh or boring. He'll quickly lose interest in a romantic partner that drags him back to reality too often or too quickly, putting a damper on his fun. He's also likely to have a curiosity about things deemed, "supernatural." Despite the fact that he seems to have his head in the clouds too much of the time, he is grounded and works hard to get what he wants.

TWINS/SNAKE: Born in 1917, 1929, 1941, 1953, 1965, 1977, 1989, 2001. The Snake intensifies the side of the twin that is cold and critical of others. However, born with a silver tongue, he has the ability to charm those he may offend, and easily finds himself back in their favor. A lover needs to be understanding that the Twins/Snake can be possessive and jealous, and try to avoid doing things that might stir his suspicious nature. Snakes tend to succeed in business, partly due to their beguiling personality, and partly due to their ability to think ahead well and plan out their next move.

TWINS/HORSE: Born in 1918, 1930, 1942, 1954, 1966, 1978, 1990, 2002. The Horse influences the Twins to be more down to Earth. He is very social and has many admirers that are attracted to his energy and grace. Usually good-natured, the Twins/Horse is friendly, outspoken and very giving. He has a temper, and when it flares he will be abrupt and sharp. However, his bad moods don't last long and he doesn't hold a grudge. Just because he is forgiving does not mean you can take advantage of him, though, for he is nobody's fool. He is inclined to go with the flow and will follow those who promise something interesting or exciting, however he is not a follower by nature; he will not do something he doesn't want to do.

TWINS/SHEEP: Born in 1919, 1931, 1943, 1955, 1967, 1979, 1991, 2003. The Twins/Sheep has the potential to be gullible because of his trusting nature. Those who love him will find themselves constantly trying to talk him out of wasting his money on a scam or following someone leading him down the wrong road. He wants to believe in a sob story, a miracle cure, or the latest amazing discovery- no matter how absurd or unlikely. He has high ideals and believes anything is possible. He has a great deal of faith that can't be shaken. Even when he is let down he will pick up and find something else to believe in. His optimism can motivate others, and he will be a cheerleader and steam engine for the one he loves (for he believes in that person above all), and he'll drive them toward great things.

TWINS/MONKEY: Born in 1920, 1932, 1944, 1956, 1968, 1980, 1992, 2004. The Monkey can influence the Twins to be a real practical joker- he loves to put his cleverness and imagination to use for amusement. He is not mean, however, and even the target of his pranks can't help but laugh with him when all is said and done. The Twins/Monkey makes a good inventor- he is innovative, has a knack for solving problems, and the ability to conceptualize well. He has superior powers of visualization, and by maintaining a clear vision of what he wishes to build or accomplish, he is able to strive towards his goal with a mental road map he can hold in his mind.

TWINS/ROOSTER: Born in 1921, 1933, 1945, 1957, 1969, 1981, 1993, 2005. One day he will seek attention and glory, the next day he is reclusive and wants to be left alone. The Rooster reeks havoc with the dual nature of the Twins, and causes him to be highly erratic in behavior. Some times he will have a hard time making any sense at all, and other times his words can move others to tears or actions. He has the potential to be highly analytical, but he also enjoys entertaining thoughts of the fantastic. He likes to read and study, and is quite knowledgeable in a number of subjects areas.

TWINS/DOG: Born in 1922, 1934, 1946, 1958, 1970, 1982, 1994, 2006. The Dog brings out the friendly, straight forward nature of the Twins, and he is less likely to be critical of those he is close to. He gives people the benefit of the doubt; if you do betray him or give him a reason not to trust you, he will become completely indifferent toward you and is likely to drop you as a friend or companion. He is very playful, and very hard-working. His own indecisiveness can frustrate him. He mulls things over quietly, in private, and when he does finally come to a decision he sticks with it. He tends to see the world more in black-and-whites than shades of gray, so once he has decided whether to put something in the "good" category and the "bad" category, he doesn't see any reason to look back.

TWINS/BOAR: Born in 1923, 1935, 1947, 1959, 1971, 1983, 1995, 2007. The Twins/Boar is a very capable, self-reliant individual. He would rather depend on himself than someone else, because he knows he can trust himself to get any job done. He can take forever weighing out the pros and cons of a situation before finally making a decision- often he will find opportunities missed because he let too much time pass by without acting. That's okay, though; he is just relieved that the pressure is taken off the situation. He would rather miss out on an opportunity than make the wrong choice. Boars have a tendency to be gullible, especially in matters of love because they are highly romantic and are blinded by the stars and hearts in their own eyes.
