East Meets West Astrology: Taurus In Relation To The Chinese Zodiac

Read how a Taurus can be influenced by the year he was born under his China zodiac sign. Information on two different astrological systems.

TAURUS THE BULL (March 21st to April 20th): The Taurean is friendly and outgoing, someone that people can depend on in their time of need. A romantic at heart, he can be extremely tender and loving with his mate-- but if he becomes jealous he may become too possessive and expose his needy side. He has a basic wisdom-- an innate common sense that brings about an ability to remain calm and in control, until he feels something that belongs to him is threatened. At that point, the inner beast can be awakened.

BULL/RATS: Born in 1912, 1924, 1936, 1948, 1960, 1972, 1984, 1996. The Taurean born under the sign of the Rat, blessed with charm and grace, is usually a social butterfly, but has a close inner circle of friends who he will usually remain close to for life. He is very down to earth and wise individual that people will seek out for advice. Rats love money and collecting material things, and Bulls are very possessive and protective of their belongings, which may lead the Bull/Rat to become a pack rat, and fairly stingy with his stash. In matters of love, this person will be a very devoted, loving, doting partner who will surprise his mate with many romantic gestures.

BULL/OX: Born in 1913, 1925, 1937, 1949, 1961, 1973, 1985, 1997. The Bull and the Ox are one in the same animal, and each only reinforces the other. The Ox only serve to strengthen the best qualities of the Bull-- his good work ethic, his devotion to his family, his friendliness and wisdom. Unfortunate, the Ox also can increase some of the worse qualities, such as his jealous nature, greediness and ability to be stubborn. The person born under this combination of signs will need to let his calm nature and good sense lead him, or his negative qualities could consume him and get in the way of his dreams and relationships.

BULL/TIGER: Born in 1914, 1926, 1938, 1950, 1962, 1974, 1986, 1998. The Tiger drives the Bull to seek out challenges and adventures, and loves to go to new places and meet new people. You will often find him the center of attention in a crowd, relaying stories with morals or arguing ethical issues. As an intelligent, hard worker he has the makings for success in business endeavors, as long as the Bull keeps the Tiger's patience in check. Unfortunately for his lover, the Tiger's influence on the Bull could also lead to jealous rages- he may become so protective of his mate he will want to keep that person away from the world and all to himself. One must pet him often and remind him that he is the only one.

BULL/HARE: Born in 1915, 1927, 1939, 1951, 1963, 1975, 1987, 1999. The influence of the Hare soothes the Bull's insecurities and possessive nature. With the Hare at his side the Bull can overcome a tenancy towards laziness. In social matters, the Hare will influence the Bull to be the peacemaker when friends disagree or people argue. In matters of romance, the affectionate nature and high sex drive of the hair combined with the Bull, who is a romantic at heart, will make him shower his lover with attention. His mate will never feel taken for granted or ignore, and may occasionally desire just a bit of space for fear of feeling smothered with love.

BULL/DRAGON: Born in 1916, 1928, 1940, 1952, 1964, 1976, 1988, 2000. The Dragon is often a larger-than-life character, and a Dragon/Bull will generally dominate conversations. When he speaks, people will often listen. A typical "Casanova" type in matters of love, the Dragon will use the Bull's flair for romance to attract and woo many partners, but rarely settle for one. More likely he will have a number of lovers or engage in serial monogamy, and is not likely to settle down with one person until late in life, if at all. The Bull must not let the Dragon's pride get in the way of him asking for help when he needs it or he will find himself getting into a string of trouble that will be like a snowball rolling down a hill.

BULL/SNAKE: Born in 1917, 1929, 1941, 1953, 1965, 1977, 1989, 2001. Though the Taurus is a social creature, the influence of the snake will make him charming, yet distant. He will have many acquaintances and get along well with people in a social setting, but have few very close friends. Many will see him as a mystery. As a lover, one may find the Bull/Snake very exotic and sensual, but may find it difficult to get past the wall of cool he has built up and really find the inner person inside. The Snake tends to refine the Bull, and give him an appreciation for the finer things in life.

BULL/HORSE: Born in 1918, 1930, 1942, 1954, 1966, 1978, 1990, 2002. Horses are high-spirited, and the Bull/Horse will likely be on the pep squad, or at least be the cheer leader among his friends. Ever the optimist, he will see the best in people and his positive attitude may rub off on those around him. He would lay down his life in the name of love, and is unfortunately likely to spend many a night nursing a broken heart from people who have taken advantage of him and hurt his feelings. While in such situations the Bull may want to crawl into a hole and stay there, the influence of the Horse will get him to pick up and move on. When he does find his lifetime mate, the Horse, who respects freedom, will keep the Bull's jealous, possessive nature in check.

BULL/SHEEP: Born in 1919, 1931, 1943, 1955, 1967, 1979, 1991, 2003. While the Sheep is on the shy side, the Bull will drive it to seek out like-minded individuals and groups. He may be the quiet one of the group, but don't take that as an implication that he doesn't want to participate- he's just happy to be there. The Bull is a sucker for romance, but the Sheep's timidity will hold him back from expressing his feelings or taking the first steps with a love interest. He will more likely adore someone from afar, spend days and nights dreaming about the object of his affection, or get up the courage to send love notes or anonymous trinkets. Bad with money, the Sheep has a way of making the Bull spend foolishly on things he wants but doesn't need.

BULL/MONKEY: Born in 1920, 1932, 1944, 1956, 1968, 1980, 1992, 2004. Bull/Monkeys are fun to have at a party, but don't tend to trust people or confide in them easily. When they do, you'll find that their minds are always planning and plotting, and that they are very intelligent and analytical people who are aware of much more than their playful nature lets on. In romantic matters they like to win over hearts for the challenge and to feed their ego, but rarely hold interest for long. It will be impossible to stay mad at him for long, for at just the right moment he will say or do something that will make you laugh or smile despite yourself. The influence of the Monkey on the Bull teaches him to be a great money maker and saver, but the Bull can become very miserly with his savings.

BULL/ROOSTER: Born in 1921, 1933, 1945, 1957, 1969, 1981, 1993, 2005. The Rooster adds a great deal of color to the Bull's personality, and he is usually quite eccentric- some people might say he is downright strange. Being quite blunt, however, he might tell you that he finds you boring. Bull/Roosters are dreamers, but the Bull grounds the Rooster and prevents him from living with his head in the clouds. The rooster is a wiz with money, and his generous nature may get the Bull to open up his pocket and be more giving. In love, the Rooster fuels the Bull's romantic nature and will help him come up with creative ways of wooing that might sound like something out of a movie.

BULL/DOG: Born in 1922, 1934, 1946, 1958, 1970, 1982, 1994, 2006. You cannot go wrong with a best friend who is a Bull/Dog. He will be the most loyal friend and the most devoted of lovers. The Dog may only intensify the Bull's possessive nature, but more out of a protective instinct than a jealous one. The Dog teaches the Bull to be well balanced when it comes to both work and play. He doesn't care much about money or possessions, but the few things and people he holds dear he will fight with ferocity to protect, no matter what the odds he may face. He is a home body, his home is his castle. It is where he is most comfortable. He would rather be there more than anywhere else in the world, and he will rarely stray from it.

BULL/BOAR: Born in 1923, 1935, 1947, 1959, 1971, 1983, 1995, 2007. Boars are not flashy like Roosters, or the life of the party like Monkeys, but no one loves to be part of a good time more than a Bull/Boar. If there is something going on, he wants to be a part of it. He hates to be left out. This can get him in trouble at work, as he has a tendency to stray from his duties when he sees co-workers gathering by the water cooler because he wants to know what is going on. The Boar teaches the bull to be polite, courteous, and strengthens the inner calm of the Bull. In matters of love, he is patient- once he sets his sights on someone he will wait forever for that person to come to him. With his trusting nature, deceitful people may succeed at taking advantage of him.
