Here's a Christmas Ornament Craft that is easy and fun for children of all ages. This craft can be made using items found outdoors.
Supplies:
Single Peach Pit or Walnut
Small Acorns
Small dried materials
(miniature pinecones,seeds,berries,twigs,
wood chips, etc.)
Ribbon (6" length, 1/4 or 1/8" wide)
Glue Gun
Clear Acrylic Spray
Optional:
Gold, Silver or Pearl Spray Paint.
Directions:
Take your pit or nut and lie it down on a work surface. Take your ribbon, and using glue gun, glue one end on each side of nut or pit, pressing firmly in place. Let dry.
If using spray paint, go ahead and spray your dried materials and let them dry. You can use a solid color, or use several color if wanting a particular color theme this year.
Once dry, if spray painted, take your glue gun and glue dried materials to the top and sides of the pit or nut.
Once glue sets and your ornament is completed, spray the entire ornament with the clear acrylic spray.
This ornament is ready to be hung, and can be used year after year.
