It's extremely easy. Our Jeld Wen custom wood door division has standard designs. We offer a lot of standard designs. However, we are setup as a truly custom door shop. Our goal is to make it extremely easy to get the door of your dreams. You can get whatever door you want. Basically, if you can draw it on a napkin, we will make that door become a reality. We've got our own drafters here that will markup an actual working shop drawing. Then, they send it back to the homeowner to make sure it's what they want. Once that is established, we can build it. We can take any sort of concept, and turn it to do an actual door.
The price will range. It will depend on the wood species you choose. It will also depend on how truly custom the door is. If you just want something that's just a little unique, it is not going to be too expensive. However, if you are talking about a solid wood or hand craved door, it is going to be a little more than just a standard one. The price ranges can vary anywhere from $3000 all the way up to $40,000 plus. These are complete systems though. The normal door isn't going to cost you $40,000.
