Bulimia can ravage the body because usually women with bulimia are purging, or often they are abusing laxatives, which puts their system in a state of shock. So, when they try to discontinue laxatives, they are not able to go to the bathroom on their own. So, it's a cycle; they get constipated and then they feel like they're bloated and then they feel like they are gaining weight. So, laxative abuse does major damage. The effects of the body would be gastrointestinal pain when they do keep food down, extreme fatigue, loss of hair and the huge stress on the heart. The hair starts falling out and another effect is tooth decay. Usually, an eating disorder is not about food, but it's always about trying to deal with psychological pain.
