Probably the largest and most popular festival here would be the Solano Stroll which occurs every September on a 1.25 mile stretch of Solano Avenue. There is a parade, food groups, sidewalk sail, carnival games, and things like that. We usually get over 200,000 people in one day.
The Berkeley Kite Festival is held at the end of July. It's an international event at Caesar Chavez Park. The Himalayan Fair is in May. That's a celebration of the mountain cultures of the Himalayas with Himalayan art, antiques, modern crafts, live music, and dance.
