In August, the Main Street area of downtown has what they call the "Dancing in the Streets" festival to raise money for the following year's 4th of July Fireworks Celebration. This year they had about 30,000 people in attendance. There are 4-5 different bands playing in different locations, and there are food vendors. In November we have one of the largest air shows on the East Coast attracting almost 75,000 people in three days. They actually shut down many of the streets, and the airport traffic goes only one way. It's a huge event for us with several fishing tournaments held at the same time. The Martin County Fair takes place in February. Again, we are one of the smallest communities in the state of Florida, and out of 67 county fairs, we are the 12th or 13th largest in the state. For a little community like this, it's incredible. We have art and agricultural displays as well. We don't have just a carnival like many places. Finally, we have the Pineapple Festival on Jensen Beach that normally occurs in November. That's another big one in the community.
