Feng Shui Furniture For A Child's Bedroom

To achieve a positive environment and healthy flow of energy, apply some Feng Shui furniture placement tips to your child's bedroom.

Parents only want to have the very best for their children. They want their child to grow up healthy, happy, intelligent, and they want them to grow up being a strong independent person. To help give your child a good balance in life you can apply Feng Shui to their bedroom. This will give your child's room a sense of harmony and balance that will make their room relaxing and make it a happy place for them to play and sleep. Feng Shui helps maintain a healthy flow of energy moving in a favorable direction.

Your child's bedroom is as important to them as your bedroom is to you. You know that you want your bedroom to be a comfortable place where you can go and sleep and release all of the tension of your busy day. The same thinking should apply to your child's room.

People who practice the art and science of Feng Shui believe that by placing furniture in certain ways or by putting objects or plants in certain locations, you can create a sense of well-being. The western part of your home is ideal for children, projects and creativity. This would be a good place to select for your child's bedroom. When determining what color to paint on the wall, the best colors to choose from for their room is metallic colors, light pastels, gray or white.

The eastern part of your house is a wonderful location for a growing child. It is a positive, bright and active part of your house. It encourages mental development and encourages their imagination. This would be a good place for your child's room as well.

Your child's bedroom will probably be used as a playroom during the day. It will be a challenge to convert it from a playroom during the day to a bedroom at night. To help ensure that your child gets a good night sleep, you may want to paint their bedroom in some type of soothing color. Choose soft shades. Choose positive artwork when planning the bedroom like clouds or stars. By adding a green plant to your child's room, it can help calm an irritable child.

When decorating their room, don't use objects with hostile themes like battle scenes, wild animals, or swords. Don't place high-energy objects in their bedroom either. This includes televisions, sports posters, radios and any computers or electronic equipment.

If you use mirrors or have a lot of windows, note that they speed up energy. To help slow down the energy you can use fabric coverings.

When you arrange the furniture, be sure not to place their bed under a window but to place it so your child can see the door from the bed. Don't have bookshelves placed behind the bed or facing the bed. East or southeast is the best location for the head of the bed. Be sure to complete the bedding with something that is very cozy and inviting.

You don't need a lot of furniture in your child's room. Try to avoid furniture that is big and bulky. Always keep the bedroom tidy and get rid of outgrown items. Place toys and games in a cabinet or in a closet that can be closed. Be sure that everything is put in its place at night, as this will bring peace to the room for a more restful night sleep.

Try applying some of the above to your child's room and see if it brings them more peace for a better night's sleep. Remember that the influence of our environment is very important in your child's development. Feng Shui will help create balance and harmony in your life.
