We are the festival city. We have around 11 major festivals each year and it starts in the fall season. This season kicks off our 31st annual Bicycle Festival. Then, of course we have a lot of winter activities with a lot of ceremonies, parades and all sorts of things like that. We have a major festival coming up in October that is wonderful. We have a major Arts Festivals. We are talking about 200,000-300,000 people. It's a big, big festival and of course you can reach all that information at www.mountdora.com on the festival page. We also have an events page that includes more and more events and things that will be going on in the area at that time. There are so many good ones. We have a boat festival on the spring; there is an antique boat festival. We have the Taste of Mount Dora, which is wonderful because all the local restaurants participate. We have a festival of music. We have the arts festival, which is wonderful, it's a fine arts festival and it's a juried event as well as a craft fare. We have a plant and garden festival. There are so many different things and it's hard to choose just one. And there is really an opportunity to shop during the festivals. During these festivals, the downtown areas close down as far as the streets so all the restaurants, and all the stores are open. There are vendors throughout the streets; it is just a really fun time.
