First of all, make sure the children are not playing with fireworks. Fireworks are extremely dangerous. People don't realize that a lot of children end up in the emergency room, just from playing with fireworks. If you are going to use fireworks, make sure that there is an adult out there that has some type of safety in mind. When using fireworks, you want to make sure that you have some protection. Lots of fireworks don't go off when they are supposed to go off- they can go off early or they can go off late. So you don't want to play with these particular things because they're not toys. We caution people not to play with fireworks as if they are toys, especially children. If you are going to use fireworks to celebrate the Fourth of July, use the lighting sticks or "punks" that fireworks stands give out. It is something that allows you to light that particular firework without getting too close to it, so there is less risk of getting hurt. Our aim is to make sure that children aren't lighting fireworks or playing with fireworks.
