What are some fire safety tips for the work place? To practice fire safety at work, be cognizant of all of the exits from the building. Be cognizant of the exit; make sure you know where every exit is in...
I try to tell everybody "whenever you go in the building, always look to see where the exits are, because if something happens, you need to know how you are going to get out of that particular place." Make sure that you have a working smoke detector in place and make sure that you have working fire extinguishers. You need to make sure that those things are checked on a semiannual basis, and you want to have a fire escape plan that everybody in the building knows. You should have a fire drill once in a while- it won't hurt, it will only help.
