Going on a first date doesn't have to break your bank. The purpose of dating is to get to know someone, which can lead to marriage. By going on an expensive date you are losing focus of the purpose of the date. A first date can be fun and very inexpensive if you follow my suggestions.
The fun of dating is to get out and have fun. So while you are having fun why not act like a kid on your date? The way that can be done is to go to the park and swing on the swing, slide on the slide. While all this fun is going on talk and reminise about your childhood. This is a good way for your date to get to know something about you in your childhood. Your date can see if you were spoiled or if you were selfish as a child.
Another idea is to go to a free concert and pack a picinic basket with some bottled water, wine, cheese, bread and a blanket. One thing that can set the mood is to bring along some candles. While sipping on the wine play a little game, with each sip you have to tell your date something about yourself.
Something else that is really fun and very cheap is to go window shopping and acting like you are rich. You can add a little spice to this by going to a furniture store and seeing what type of taste your date has. Maybe your date likes modern furniture and maybe you like that Victorian sofas. This would be very fun and challenging.
If you like to eat then going to a chain resturant and ordering some appetizer and soup. This may sound rather cheap, but in some resturant the appetizer is the size of an entree.
If you want to be a romantic you can go on the roof of your apartment and just look at the stars and talk. Talking is so satisifing and refreshing. You get to know so much about your date by talking and listening.
Another great idea is to go on a picnic scavenger hunt. What this is, bring a basket but don't fill it up. You go to your friends and to your date's friends and they place something in the basket. This way while stopping at your friends home you get to see what type of friends they have. This type of date may require a lot of time becasue you have to go from home to home and talking. But after gathering all the food you can go to a park and eat and enjoy your date.
