We have a traditional commercial fishing industry, which still operates out of Humboldt Bay. For sport fishing we offer both ocean fishing and river fishing. In the ocean we have a number of charter boats which will supply all the gear for fishing for both salmon and bottom fish like rock cod. We have river fishing primarily on two main rivers, which are the Trinity and the Klamath Rivers. There are certain times of the year you can fish for salmon on those rivers, but a lot of people prefer to go after what they call steel head trout. You can go out on a boat or you can wade in and do it from ashore. There are guides who will take you out and show you what to do. We also have several fishing tournaments throughout the year.
