If you're visiting Miami, you should definitely take at least an afternoon to see what's in Key Biscayne, Florida. This is a small city that is rich in history and culture. Here is a list of some of the sights you shouldn't miss when you're in Key Biscayne, Florida.

* Miami Seaquarium. If ever there is a city to watch an aquatic animal show, this would be it. The Miami Seaquarium is along Rickenbacker Causeway in Miami's Key Biscayne, and is home to some special residents. Visitors here will see sharks, dolphins and plenty of other aquatic animals and sealife. You certainly want to experience one of the shows at the seaquarium. The stadium holds some 2,500 people, and you're sure to laugh and be wowed by the stunts the dolphins can pull. * Cape Florida Lighthouse. This is a neat sight along the Atlantic shore. The lighthouse has long been a place where ships were signaled into shore. The lights at the top of the lighthouse let ships traveling by night know where the shore is and how far they might be from land. You can climb to the top of the lighthouse and experience a spectacular view of Miami and the ocean. The lighthouse is at the tip of Key Biscayne and can be toured daily. 305-361-8779.



* Cape Florida State Recreation Park. This is a choice spot along the coast of Key Biscayne. The sands on the beach are top notch, and it's a great place to bring your picnic lunch and enjoy a day of fun in the sun. This also a widely known fishing spot. You're almost sure to catch something here, so bring your rod and reel. Part of this park was destroyed by Hurricane Andrew in 1992, but is now rebuilt. Today it is just as beautiful as it was before the hurricane and is a popular tourist destination. If you're going to be in the souther Florida area, it's a spot you certainly won't want to miss. You can find this area at 1200 South Crandon Boulevard on Key Biscayne.
